Ron Hessamfar , D.M.D., M.S., P.C.
Dr. Hessamfar completed his undergraduate education at the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland in 1992. He continued his education in the field of dentistry and received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia in 1996. In 1997, he completed his advanced education in general dentistry residency from Lancaster Cleft Palate Clinic in Lancaster, PA, where he gained a vast amount of experience in dental care of patients with and without craniofacial disorders. He started to practice in a private general dental practice in York, PA, while holding a faculty position at the Lancaster Cleft Palate Clinic.
In 1998, Dr. Hessamfar decided to advance his dental career further in the specialty of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. In May 2001, after three years of training, he completed his specialty in orthodontics and in addition he received Master of Science in oral biology to complement his education at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark.
Since then, Dr. Hessamfar has been involved with many publications directly and indirectly related to his master’s thesis. Dr. Hessamfar has treated thousands of orthodontic patients, both adults and children, with or without dentofacial disharmony in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. He has changed and enhanced the lives of many patients by giving them the smile of their lifetime.
